Choosing a career is never an easy decision. Many times, individuals are influenced by external factors—family expectations, peer pressure, or societal trends—making it difficult to think rationally and arrive at a clear decision.
The first step in this journey is self-awareness: knowing one’s own interests. From interests comes passion, and from passion arises long-term goals. When passion is aligned with goals, achievements become smoother and more fulfilling. But the journey does not end there—various challenges and influencing factors continue to shape career growth.
This workshop, facilitated for the students of Visual Communication, St. Joseph’s College (Arts & Science), Kovur, Chennai on 26.10.2025. We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. K. Shanmughavelayutham, HOD for providing us with an opportunity to deliver the session.
This workshop is designed to help participants identify their true interests and connect the dots to discover passions that can define their career path.
Once this clarity is established, the process of choosing the right career becomes far easier—though it still requires consistent reflection and cross-checking, which this workshop also facilitates.
The workshop incorporates a series of introspective exercises, guiding students to map their interests, align them with career options, and track their progress over time. Tools and frameworks are provided to help them check for deviations and make informed adjustments along the way.
Ultimately, the focus is on building consistency, which is the key to identifying the right parameters for career choice and ensuring long-term growth and success.
