Bharath Medical Campus enthusiastically celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2024, embracing the global initiative to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through yoga. The session emphasised the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to enhance overall health, reduce stress, and improve lifestyle quality.

The event included an informative discussion on various yoga mudras, explaining their therapeutic benefits for maintaining energy balance, improving concentration, and enhancing emotional stability.
Students were introduced to several beneficial yoga asanas, including a guided demonstration of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation)—a powerful sequence known for improving flexibility, strengthening muscles, and activating the body’s energy system.
Participants also learned Sisupalasana and Baddha Konasana, with hands-on instructions to help them perform these postures correctly and understand how they support spine health, muscle relaxation, and improved blood circulation.
Following the asana session, students engaged in mindfulness practices to cultivate mental clarity, inner calm, and present-moment awareness.
The session concluded with a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra – 61-point meditation, designed to release stress, relax the nervous system, and promote emotional balance.
