Being a mentor in this career guidance program for the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu was a deeply fulfilling experience.
I had the opportunity to offer one-to-one career guidance sessions to students of Grades 9 and 11, along with their parents.

Through psychometric assessments and detailed report discussions, students were guided to better understand their strengths, interests, and potential career paths. What stood out was the clarity many students already had about their aspirations, along with the genuine involvement of parents in supporting their children’s journey.
Beyond structured sessions, it was the conversations that made the experience truly meaningful—listening to students share their dreams and parents express their hopes. These moments reinforced the value of early career awareness and informed decision-making.
Collaborating with fellow mentors added another dimension to the program, creating space for knowledge sharing, reflection, and meaningful professional exchange. Even brief one-to-one interactions with parents offered deeper insights into the importance of aligning career choices with both individual strengths and family perspectives.

This experience was a reminder of how impactful the right guidance at the right time can be in shaping a student’s future.
I extend my sincere gratitude to Dheya Career Mentors (I) Pvt. Ltd. and Ashok Leyland Dealers for the trust and opportunity to be part of this initiative.
