Our 1.5-day fast-track Placement Readiness and Employability Enhancement Program was delivered to final-year undergraduate students in the Department of Geography, Tourism, and Travel Management to provide focused, practical training that boosts confidence, improves communication skills, and prepares them for real-world recruitment processes.
Day 1 – Mock Interview Session & Group Discussion
The program began with structured Mock Interviews for all students, followed by a group discussion conducted in a professional setting to mirror real corporate interview standards. Each student experienced both HR and technical interview questions, enabling them to understand industry expectations and evaluate their preparedness.
Performance was assessed on parameters such as clarity of communication, subject knowledge, body language, presentation skills, and problem-solving approach. The Group discussion was recorded, and feedback was given on verbal and non-verbal communication.
Day 2 – Comprehensive Employability Skill Development Workshops
The next day, the feedback on the interview was given to each student and guidance was provided on how they can develop themselves. Participants gained valuable insights about their interview, strengths and areas that require improvement, setting the foundation for the upcoming training sessions.
The day also featured a series of skill-oriented sessions that aimed at enhancing professional competencies essential for successful placements.
Effective Resume Writing helped students create a professionally formatted resume that highlights skills, certifications, achievements, and internships, which gets shortlisted easily by recruiters.
